It was a year ago today that Wendy Davis and the Democrats tried to defeat our values, taking over the Capitol and filibustering our legislation protecting the unborn and enhancing women’s health. That was a day I will never forget. Your support and prayers were the reason why we were ultimately successful and were able to pass the landmark legislation protecting those who can’t yet protect themselves. I want you to know that I felt all of your prayers during this difficult time. They gave me the strength to make it through that special session, and the strength to get the bill passed in July.
Last week the Hegar family had the pleasure of being in Fort Worth at the Republican Party of Texas State Convention. Now, the Convention is over, and it was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who was able to stop by our booth. We had plenty of activities for everyone, including our popular game “Pin the Tail on the Democrats” and our Team Hegar photo booth. We also had a unique (and comfortable!) Texas themed couch and chairs set up where everyone could relax during the long week.
The Glenn Hegar Campaign finished first out of the four candidates in the Republican Primary race for Texas Comptroller with nearly fifty percent of the vote, based off of the unofficial Election Day results.
